A long-time member of Boston’s poetry slam community, April represented Boston Cantab at the National Poetry Slam in 2008, 2010 and 2011.  She competed at two Individual World Poetry Slams as the Boston representative, and has toured extensively across the United States. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Muzzle Magazine, apt, and Off The Coast. She is the author of three chapbooks: We Are Not As Strong, The Sacred Heartbeat of Consent, and Blood Oranges, Top Bunk.
