April’s first full-length play, Streetsweepers won the Nicole Dufresne Playwriting award while she studied theatre at Emerson College. Her plays Frabjous Day and Those Still Living were produced at the Boston Theatre Marathon in 2008 and 2010. April was a member of the 2012 Boston Playwrights Commons Freedom Art Retreat. She emerged as a director of her own work at the 2013 Dorchester Fringe Festival, with the premiere of her ten-minute play, Civilized Rituals. Her newest full-length play, The Living, received a staged reading through Whistler in the Dark Theatre Company at the Charlestown Working Theatre.
